Iconic sites include the Sea Point promenade, the famous V&A Waterfront (one of Cape Town's Big 7 attractions), Company's Gardens, St George's Cathedral, the city bowl of Cape Town.

If you have the time, explore the communities of the Bokaap (now with heritage status), and District 6 .

There are abundant tours, cooking classes, historical sites, accommodation, food……. enough to keep you busy for weeks.

If you want to save that for another day and stay on the route, we suggest heading through the Company's Gardens or up popular Bree street, filled with small, unique, businesses, to the top of Kloof Nek and onto the next leg from Table Mountain cable car.  Stick to the contour path passing above the University of Cape Town and Rhodes memorial. Get your stamp at Rhodes Memorial. The terrain is a forest contour gravel road above the city.

How to plan this Leg

1. Open Google Maps of the route (view map below or open in your App).

2. Look for the 'Colours and Culture Leg 8'. Brown line.

3. Once you've located the Leg, find Camino sacred spaces, accommodation, stamp locations, food stops, and chaperones. Book directly with them and remember to tell them you're on Camino. They will stamp your passport, sign it Cape Camino and write the date.

4. Get your Camino Experience Kit to proudly walk the route.
