3-Day Cape Camino: Rock Shelter
For those who wish to walk with curiosity, immersing yourself in the local environment and community. Walk at a slower pace, give yourself the time you need, to connect with people, traditions, and the land. This 3 day Sandveld immersion is suitable all year (week days only on the last 2 nights).

Camino Itinerary
Day 0: Arrival at Redelinghuys Manor
Meet and greet your hosts in Redelinghuys. Arrive anytime after 4pm and before dark. Welcome dinner with local cuisine.
Day 1: Redelinghuys ➝ Wild West Coast (24km)
Redelinghuys is a famous artist's town.
A sandy path over hills takes you to a very special rest house out of town. You stay in eco-cabins. Stargazing is available on clear nights.
Day 2: Wild West Coast (10km)
You’ll walk with your chaperone to a nearby cave that looks out over the Sandveld. Once there, you'll do a guided art class, using watercolours.
Day 3: Wild West Coast ➝ Diepkloof Rock Shelter (24km)
Walk along a sandy hillside track. You’ll be transported a short distance and taken to Diepkloof Rock Shelter, known for its early evidence of human symbolic thought and ancient engraved ostrich eggshells- now a World Heritage Site.
Your Camino ends after your walk down from Diepkloof.
