Day 0: Arrival at Du Vlei Farm

Your Camino begins at Du Vlei Farm in Hermon, a historic haven along the Berg River, owned by the Du Toit family for generations. Nestled in fertile lands with breathtaking mountain views, this charming farm offers a communal rest house where pilgrims can unwind on their first night, soaking in the tranquility of the Cape Winelands. Meeting each other and making friends. Arrive anytime after 4pm and before dark.

Day 1: Du Vlei Farm ➝ Delsma Farm (6.5km)

On the first day of walking, you walk to Delsma Farm, a culinary gem that celebrates the Swartland’s bounty. This beautiful estate is renowned for its farm-to-table cuisine, using fresh, local ingredients to create dishes that burst with unique flavour.

Day 2: Delsma Farm ➝ Riebeek Kasteel (11km)

The second day’s walk takes you to Riebeek Kasteel, the heart of the Riebeek Valley’s wine country, with a coffee stop at Deli-Co on route if you choose. You will spend your third night in this charming town, famed for its Swartland wines, particularly robust Shiraz and crisp Chenin Blanc, crafted from vines thriving in the valley’s shale-rich soils. Local vintages from estates like Kloovenburg or Allesverloren.

Day 3: Riebeek Kasteel ➝ Riebeek West (8km)

On the third day, an eight-kilometer ascent leads to Riebeek West, perched in the mountains overlooking the expansive Riebeek Valley. This days walk offers panoramic views that stretch across vineyards and olive groves, a stunning reward for your journey.
