Camino Itinerary
Day 0, 21 Mar: Arrival at Sterkfontein rest house
Meet fellow pilgrims in the Sandveld and settle in. Arrive anytime after 4pm and before dark.
Day 1, 22 Mar: Sterkfontein ➝ Aurora (23km)
Private farm lands take you to the small town of Aurora. This area is special in wildflower season. Your rest house in Aurora is with a local family who offer home stay accommodation.
Day 2, 23 Mar: Aurora ➝ Klein Tafelberg (24km)
Gravel roads lead you through rooibos plantations to Klein Tafelberg. Be prepared for very sandy walkways.
Day 3, 24, Mar: Klein Tafelberg ➝ Redelinghuys (14km)
Redelinghuys is famous for the art murals and artists who live in the town. The natural setting is unique and special.
Day 4, 25 Mar: Redelinghuys ➝ Wild West Coast (24km)
A sandy path over hills takes you to a very special rest house out of town. You stay in eco-cabins. A wild experience during the week only.
Day 5, 26 Mar: Wild West Coast ➝ Elands Bay (10km)
Transport will drop you 10km along the beach so you can arrive into Elands Bay on foot.
Day 6, 27 March: Elands Bay ➝ Draaihoek (23 km)
A beach stretch with the wild west coast on your right. You are heading south now.
Day 7, 28 March: Draaihoek ➝ Arend Louw (15 km)
Make your way off the beach and spend the day and evening at this wonderful artist's house - a very special experience on Cape Camino.
